The St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung is a multi-disciplinary, internationally-networked competence centre whose goal is to contribute to the improvement of cure rates for cancer among children and young people through research and development. In close cooperation with the St. Anna Kinderspital [Children’s Hospital], this goal is supposed to be attained through the increasing of knowledge about tumour biology, through the optimisation of treatment strategies, through the monitoring and steering of the efficiency of therapy, through the minimisation of the side effects of therapy, through the adaption of modern technologies for diagnostics and through prevention and early detection.
